Aubameyang Set to Al-Nassr
Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has recieved an offer to join Saudi outfit Al-Nassr as questions over his Gunners future continue to be asked.
According to CBS, Al-Nassr have lodged a loan offer for the Gabonese with a an obligatory buy clause of €8m (£6.6m). The club are yet to respond to the offer but it is suggested that Arsenal wouldf be open to selling Aubameyang.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the club have been ensuring that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is okay after the Gabonese forward returned early from the Africa Cup of Nations.
“Yeah, he’s in London and going through some examinations because we haven’t had any clarity from the Gabon national team about the reasons why he came back”, Arteta said in his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool.
“So, obviously it’s our obligation to make sure he’s safe and in good condition and not any issues related to that and try to avoid any suggestion that that’s the case because so far historically with everything we’ve done with the player he’s never had an issue. So hopefully that’s the case.”
