Atiku Promises to Conquer Boko Haram if Elected President
Former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has pledged to stop the Boko Haram terrorist sect if elected into power in 2015.
The All Progressives Congress’ presidential aspirant said this on Tuesday in Jos while trying to gather the support of politicians.
He said:’Once I am elected the president of this great country, I shall increase the numerical strength of the military, and will also equip them with modern and sophisticated weapons.
‘I shall as well increase their pay and ensure they are given adequate training that will make them contain any form of attack from insurgents.’
Abubakar also said he wanted to become the president because he was determined to ensure the rule of law, internal democracy and progress win in the country.
