ASUSS applauds fayose’s appreciation of honest teacher

The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) has commended Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, for appreciating one of its members, Mrs Grace Ayodele, for the honesty she displayed by returning the allowance wrongly credited into her account to the state government purse.
In a letter of appreciation signed by the State Chairman, Sola Adigun and Administrative Secretary, Omolayo Oso, the union lauded the governor for his welfarist policies.
Grace, a teacher at Irepodun High School, Ikere-Ekiti, had returned over N101, 000 wrongly paid into her account as rural and core subject allowance.
Grace, who called the governor on his telephone to report the development, said she would rather let the governor assist her unemployed husband get a job than taking monetary reward.
The governor subsequently offered her husband, Sunday,job in the state civil service.
“The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, Nigeria ASUSS, Ekiti State chapter heartily appreciates the Governor for his kind gesture when it comes to humanitarian matters like this.”
