Assassins kill Delta varsity staff
Suspected assassins have shot dead a non academic staff of Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State, Mr. David Akiri.
The State Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, DSP Celestina Kalu, who confirmed the incident said the deceased was killed, as he alighted from his car to open the gate of his house in Abraka campus, during the week.
“Two boys emerged from the bush and shot him on the leg and escaped. The victim was immediately rushed to Eku Medical Centre,Eku, where he later died.”
She disclosed that police detectives investigating the incident had arrested two persons in connection with the murder,adding “The suspects have confessed to the crime.”
” Investigation is in progress. The suspects will be made to face the full wrath of the law at the end of investigation.” PPRO said.
