Manchester City’s Matija Nastasic is reportedly on his way out of the club as Porto’s Eliaquim Mangala is expected to be signed soon and the Serbian is being sought out by Inter Milan, Roma and Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger has eyes set on Nastasic as a replacement for Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen if his transfer to Manchester United go through.

Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the 21-year-old defender since his time with Fiorentina but missed out on him when City sealed a deal for him in 2012. Italian clubs, Inter and Roma are also keeping tabs on Nastasic with both clubs making enquiries as to his availability although no bids have been made yet.

The Premier League champions would rather sell him aboard than to a title rival but Arsenal would be an easier deal to complete.

He was named City’s Young-Player-of-the-Year for the 2012/13 campaign. He played just 13 league games last season and has 13 caps for Serbia to his name.
