Army rescues 59, clears notorious terrorists camps in Borno – Col. Usman
Nigerian Army authority on Thursday announced it had rescued 59 civilians held captives by terrorists in Borno.
This was made public in a statement issued by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col Sani Usman.
According to the statement, troops of 151 Task Force Battalion on Thursday conducted operations on Kashingeri, Wale and Kushingari Boko Haram terrorists’ camps in Borno and during the raids a number of terrorists were killed, while a Land Rover vehicle and a Tipper lorry were recovered.
The statement stated further that as part of efforts to rid the country of the terrorists, troops of 21 Brigade and elements of Nigerian Army Engineers on Wednesday cleared other notorious terrorists’ camps located at Chuogori and Shantumar also in Borno.
