Army Cautions Civil Society Groups over stories of human rights Abuses against armed forces

  Nigerian Army has cautioned Civil Society Groups planning to make up stories of human rights abuses against the armed forces to stop sabotaging the war against terror.

Army made this statement in release issued by the Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman.

Usman in the statement said  the army was aware of a plot by some foreign media, non-governmental and Civil Society Organisations in collaboration with some of their Nigerian affiliates to raise false alarm on alleged human rights violations by the Nigerian Army.

the statement reads inter alia, “it is clear that these groups of people and their collaborators are not happy with the progress made on the efforts to solve the security problems bedeviling our nation as manifested in the terrorists activities”.
