Armed Robbers Raid Shops, Kill Guard In Ibadan

A robbery gang on Tuesday killed a night guard while raiding shops at the new Iyana Agbala community in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State.

According to Oyo State Police Command spokesperson, SP Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor, while confirming the incident, the robbers broke into shops and carted away goods worth millions of naira, A guard, identified simply as Adeleke was said to have been strangled to death by the robbers when they realised he recognized some of them.

The PPRO stated that the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Indabawa, had detailed the state Criminal Investigation Department to uncover those behind the crime, adding that, the corpse of the guard has been removed by some policemen from the Egbeda Police Division to the mortuary.
