APC Youths vow to Take Legal Action if Prof Jega is Sacked
Youth belonging to the All Progressives Congress have said they will take legal action if the Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, is sacked.
The APC National Youth Leader, Jalo Dasuki, made the statement at a news conference on Thursday in Abuja following a meeting of all zonal, state and national youth leaders of the party, saying that the party did not react to the election postponement because of its commitment to peace.
He said: “We accepted the postponement in good fate and as law abiding citizens of Nigeria.
“Jega should be allowed to conduct the elections and go. We are here to brainstorm, synergise and take necessary steps to ensure victory on March 28,” Dasuki said.
The Deputy National Youth Leader, Mr Sobande Sesan, said the party supported the use of card readers during the polls.
“INEC has done so much and put measures in place to make the elections free and fair. We as youth must stand for once and vote for leaders of our choice.”
