APC to work with Security Agencies and LASG over Traffic and Security Issues during National Convention
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has revealed plans to work with the Lagos state government ahead of the party’s national convention holding on December 10 and 11 in order to provide party delegates with adequate security.
The party issued a statement on Monday, saying it was also working with all relevant security agencies to ensure security of delegates and reduce the effect of the event on traffic congestion.
The statement disclosed that strategies had been put in place to ease traffic congestion around the venue of the convention, and provisions had also been made for the transportation of the delegates from their hotels to the designated accreditation centres and the venue of the convention at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
Delegates were urged to comply with the security and traffic management officials during the period of the convention, while they implored members of the public to bear with them over any inconveniences caused.
The committee promises to make the convention, which will produce an elected APC presidential flag-bearer, a reference point in the history of successful conventions in the country.
