APC has not decided on a Senate Presidency candidate
The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has declared that the party is yet to decide on a candidate for the Senate President position although it has zoned the position to the North-Central.
According to reports, the leading contestants for the Senate Presidency from the zone are Senators Saraki, George Akume and Abdullahi Adamu.
During an interview, Mohammed stated the position of the party, saying: “As of today, as I am speaking to you, the party does not have a preferred candidate. Like in every political contest, all those who are qualified and are interested are free to campaign to their colleagues and we cannot stop them.”
