APC Chieftain extols Ajimobi’s leadership qualities
In a new year statement released to journalist yesterday by the chieftain from Oyo West Local Government of the state, he noted that the present administration had invested more on infrastructural development in various areas in the state, adding that the people appreciated Senator Ajimobi’s contributions to make the state a pacesetter as its name implies.
Ojebode listed some of the governor’s achievements as:” The construction of the Mokola flyover; beautification of the environment; restoration of peace, the construction of many roads within and outside the state capital, N300m loan to traders, timely payment of workers salary and 13th month salary at the third year running among others”.
He said the governor has transformed Oyo within a short period, adding that it would be in the state’s interest to give Ajimobi another four-year mandate.
Ojebode expressed awe at the claim of past administrations in the state that resources were too limited to create valuable infrastructures in the state, whereas Governor Abiola Ajimobi was able to “turn the limited resources into verifiable life enhancing projects in the state.
“When he was in the senate, he was one of the few lawmakers that refused the third term largesse of former president Olusegun Obasanjo. His leadership qualities could not be overlooked in re-vamping the economy of the state to an enviable position, saying that he had also assisted the rural community in their self-help projects through provision of rural agro industrial equipment, such as palm oil and cassava machines, among others” he said
Ojebode likened Ajimobi to the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, stating that the development been witnessed in the state now was done in the era the late sage.
The APC chieftain urged the people of the state to re-elect Ajimobi, saying he (Ajimobi) listens to people, takes advice, honours elders, reveres the Yoruba tradition and has delivered on his campaign promises.
He also congratulated the members of the party for witnessing 2014, while urging them to continue to support Governor Ajimobi.
Ojebode pray to God to continue to grant the governor the wisdom, strength and good health to take the state to an enviable position
