Amosun declared Winner as APC wins G’ship Elections, 17 House of Assembly seats in Ogun state
The Incumbent governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun of the All Progressives Congress has been announced as the winner of the April 11 gubernatorial elections in the state.
The Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, announced the result in Abeokuta, on Sunday, saying that Amosun won with 306,988 votes, while Gboyega Isiaka of the Peoples Democratic Party had 201,440 votes.
The APC also won 17 out of the 26 seats in the Ogun State House of Assembly elections, also held on Saturday, while the PDP won nine seats.
The APC won in Obafemi-Owode, Abeokuta South I, Ewekoro, Abeokuta South II, Abeokuta North, Ikenne, Odeda, Remo-North, Ijebu-North II, Sagamu I, Odogbolu, Ifo I, Ifo II, Ado-Odo/Ota I, Ado-Odo/Ota II, Ogun Waterside, Egbado North I state constituencies.
The PDP won in Egbado II, Imeko-Afon, Egbado South, Ipokia, Ijebu-North I, Sagamu II, Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu North East and Ijebu East state constituencies.
