Amosun Commends roles of Ogun Traditional Rulers in State development

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has commended the supports and valuable contribution of the Ogun State Traditional Institution in the ongoing socio-economic development across the state as key to the success of the projects.

According to a release signed by Lateef Ositelu, Information Officer, Ministry of Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, governor Amosun stated this at the formal installation and presentation of instrument of Appointment and Staff of Office to the new Alase of Ilase, Oba Olaifa Adewale John who ascended the throne of his fore fathers without rancour and acrimony after the demise of Oba Samuel Adenowo Adeosun who joined his ancestor on 16th December,2011.

Governor Amosun who was represented at the occasion by Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Basorun Muyiwa Oladipo pointed out that the present administration recognised the unflinching supports of the royal fathers and would never take them for granted.

He said “Our Administration is aware of the significant roles which traditional institution plays in the development of the State. I am particularly impressed by our traditional rulers invaluable pieces of advice which in no small measure, have contributed to the success of our administration, I therefore, wish to use this forum once again to express our Administration’s deep appreciation to our Royal Fathers for their unflinching support and contributions to our” Five-cardinal programme” as enshrined in our “Mission to Rebuild” Ogun State.

He enjoined the Sons and Daughters of Ilase to support and work together with the monarch in a bid to develop the community.

SIA reminded the monarch to be father and a good leader to all considering his appointment as a call to duty and strive to use his wealth of experience to serve the people and Yewaland in general.

The Governor implored Kabiyesi and the good people of Ilase to cooperate wih relevant agencies and support the present administration in its quest to rebuild the state warning them to shun any act that could lead to breakdown of Law and Order as no meaningful development could take place in an environment of rancour and acrimony.

In his acceptance speech, Oba Olaifa Adewale John appreciated support of Governor Ibikunle Amosun for the success of the installation and commended the ongoing infrastructural development across the state as a new dawn.

He solicited for more government presence for Ilase community and its environs.
