Ambode appoints Oki, DG LASIMIRA, Igbokwe, Chairman, Wharf Authority

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Thursday, appointed new heads for the Lagos State Safety Commission, LASIMRA and the Water Regulatory Board.
The appointment was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to Government, Tunji Bello.
According to the statement, the governor approved the appointment of Mr. Fouad Alade Oki as the Director-General of the Lagos State Safety Commission, the agency saddled with the responsibility of safety regulations and enforcement in the State.
He also approved the appointments of Chief Funso Oyekola Ologunde as the Chairman and Mr. Jide Odekunle as the new General Manager of LASIMRA.
Mr. Joe Igbokwe, who until now was the General Manager of LASIMRA, was also appointed by Governor Ambode as the Chairman of Wharf Landing Fee Collecting Authority.
Arch. Ahmed Kabir Abdullahi was also appointed as the Executive Secretary of the Water Regulatory Board.
The appointments, according to the statement take immediate effect.
The governor while approving the appointment of some people, he also approved the sack of Mr Tunde Disu as Managing Director, LAGBUS Asset Management Limited; Odebunmi Dominga as Director-General, Lagos Safety Commission.
Disu was said to have been eased out last week, the same day the General Manager, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, Babatunde Edu was fired.
