Amanju Pinnick Emerges NFF President
The Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Amaju Pinnick has been elected President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF. After series of delay arising from court injunction, threats of ban by the World Football ruling body, the elections into the offices of NFF have finally been held.
The elections which went into two rounds produced Pinnick as President with 32 votes defeating two ex-internationals, Dominic Iorfa and Taiwo Ogunjobi, who had six and four votes respectively. Pinnick had scored 25 votes in the first round of voting , while Ogunjobi had 9 votes; Irofa, 6; and Amaze Uchegbulam, 4 votes.
Seyi Akinwunmi emerged as the First Vice President . Akinwunmi polled 30 votes beating Adamu Shehu who had 8 votes; Emeka Inyama, 4 votes; and Sule Muazu, 2 votes .Musa Gusau emerged Second Vice President.
