Amaechi Commends INEC for Commencement of PVC Distribution
Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Ameachi has warned the Independent National Electoral Commission not to disenfranchise any eligible voter in the state while also urging voters to get their cards so that they can exercise their democratic right.
The Governor during a State broadcast commended INEC for the ongoing exercise and urged them to ensure a it continues hitch-free in the state.
He said “In spite of the various challenges experienced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, we urge our citizens not to relent in participating in the exercise. It is our hope that the electoral body will do all that is necessary to ensure a hitch-free exercise in the state and that no eligible voter is denied his card or registration.”
The Governor’s message was broadcast as distribution of Permanent Voters Card commenced in Rivers, Nasarawa and nine local governments in Lagos State.
