Allege Killer of Ogun Magistrate Arraigned

‎The alleged killer of an Ogun State retired magistrate, Mrs Oluwafunmilayo Timeyin, David Uche was on Friday arraigned before an Abeokuta magistrate court on a one count charge of murder, an offence contrary to section 316 and punishable under section 319 of the criminal code laws of Ogun State of Nigeria 2006.Arraigned before Magistrate Anthony Araba of the magistrate court one in Isabo, Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital, David Uche was in chains after being brought from the Oba prison facility in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the state.

David Uche, a former house help to the late retired magistrate, allegedly murdered his former boss last week.

The accused was arrested by members of  the vigilante group attached to Laderin workers estate in Abeokuta inside the bush behind the late magistrate residence after the incident.

The presiding magistrate remanded the accused in prison custody pending  advise from the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP.

The accused who had earlier been sacked for alleged stealing was said to have scaled the fence of the late magistrate’s house on the day of the incident, deactivated the security system inside the building, and laid siege within the premises before hacking the retired woman magistrate to death.
