Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi has released a provisional list of 30 players and six standby players to begin preparations for the third edition of the Championship of African Nations holding from January 11, 2014 in South Africa.

Prominent names on the list include Super Eagles duo Sunday Mba of Enugu Rangers and Azubuike Egwuekwe of Warri Wolves, goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim from Rangers as well as Kano Pillars striker Muhammad Gambo.

Also invited are the trio of Sunday Alampasu, Taiwo Awoniyi and Kelechi Iheanacho who were part of the victorious Golden Eaglets team at the recent FIFA U17 World Cup in UAE.

The Nigerian camp for the 2014 CHAN opens on Monday December 9 in Abuja as Nigeria hopes to put up a good showing in their first appearance at the tournament meant strictly for home based players.

Nigeria will compete from Group A alongside host nation South Africa, Mali and Mozambique. Tunisia won the last edition held in Sudan after defeating Angola 3-0 in the 2011 final.

Azubuike Egwuekwe, Ebenezer Odunlami, Benjamin Francis, Solomon Kwambe, Bright Esieme, Yinka Adedeji, Reuben Ogbonnaya, Umar Zango and Chibuzor Madu.

Midfielders
Sunday Mba, Etebo Oghenekaro, Rabiu Ali, Ogonna Osuchukwu, Achiv Douglas, Mohammed Ajia and Christian Pyagbara.

Forwards
Kelechi Iheanacho, Muhammad Gambo, Ifeanyi Edeh, Barnabas
