Ajimobi presents 5 transformers to Apete Community
Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has presented five units of 500KVA transformers to Apete Community in Ido Local Government Area to improve power supply within the community.
The governor, while distributing the transformers to the people of the area through the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ido Local Government, Prof. Joseph Olowofela, said that the gesture was in fulfillment of his earlier promise to boost power supply and socio-economic activities in the area.
Governor Ajimobi had, during his visit to the community to inspect the ongoing bridge construction, promised to provide the transformers to help boost economic activities in the area.
He enjoined the benefiting areas within the community to make good use of the transformers, stressing that adequate security should be provided to prevent them from being vandalized.
Governor Ajimobi assured other communities that had made similar requests for transformers that they would also be considered in the supply of the equipment.
Speaking on behalf of the Apete community, the Baale of Oriade-Apete, Chief Nurudeen Salaudeen expressed appreciation to Governor Ajimobi for the gesture, describing it as a further manifestation of his (governor’s) exemplary leadership.
He said the presentation of the transformer would go a long way in boosting the businesses of the artisans and traders in the area.
