Ajimobi hails Oke-Ogun people for support, pledges more development
Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Monday led his deputy, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, members of the state Executive Council and stalwarts of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on a visit to the Oke Ogun zone of the state to express appreciation to the people of the zone for voting en masse for APC during the just concluded general elections.
The governor and his team arrived at the zone through Iseyin and were received by a large crowd of APC supporters and residents of the ancient town.
The elated governor and his deputy, who mounted the open roof of their campaign bus, were doling out souvenir to the people amidst singing and dancing before proceeding to Okeho through the newly- rehabilitated Iseyin-Okeho Road where they were received by a tumultuous crowd.
The team also visited Ayetoro, Iwere Ile and Ilero, all in Kajola Local Government Area as well as Iganna in Iwajowa Local Government Area.
Governor Ajimobi assured the residents of the zone that his administration would create a huge impact on the socio-economic and physical development of the zone during the next dispensation.
The governor gave the assurance while addressing community leaders in Saki at the OYSADEP premises in Saki-West Local Government area of the state.
Governor Ajimobi, who was in Oke Ogun on a `thank you’ tour of the zone thanked the people of the area for the confidence they reposed in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his administration as demonstrated by their massive votes during the last general elections.
He explained that for the first time in the political history of the state, a party won in nine out of the 10 local government areas that made up the Oke Ogun zone.
The governor, therefore, assured the people that APC would not disappoint the electorate who put their trust in him, pledging that that Oke Ogun would witness serious transformation during his second term in office.
In their separate responses, the Vice Chairman of Saki Parapo, Chief Samuel Onifade and the APC Zonal Chairman, Chief Sunday Adekola expressed the people’s support for the Ajimobi administration.
