Ajimobi directs LG Chairmen to commence recruitment of teachers, others
Governor Abola Ajimobi of Oyo State has directed the Caretaker Committee Chairmen in all the 33 local government councils in the state to commence the recruitment of teachers and other categories of workers in their respect council areas.
The governor gave the directive while addressing members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth League and Ajimobi Youth Forum from all the 33 local government areas of the state who paid him a solidarity rally at the Governor’s Office, Ibadan on Wednesday.
Governor Ajimobi said that this was part of his administration’s efforts at reducing youth unemployment in the state.
He also said that his administration would soon commence distribution of raw food items to the people of the state in order to cushion the effect of poverty and hunger.
Governor Ajimobi, while reiterating his government’s determination to ensure even distribution of dividends of democracy, called on the youth in the state to support his administration in all its development programmes for their benefit and that of the entire people of the state.
In their separate remarks, the State APC Youth Leader, Mr. Ambali Abiodun said the rally was aimed at demonstrating and showcasing the strength of Ajimobi’s political structure among the youth and to express their unflinching support for his administration.
The State Coordination of Ajimobi Youth Forum, Alhaji Akeem Adeniran, in his own remarks, commended Governor Ajimobi for his various landmark achievements, especially in the areas of youth empowerment and urban renewal programme.
