AJIMOBI ASSURES PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING SALARIES TO WORKERS-SAYS WORKFORCE WILL NOT BE REDUCED
Oyo state Governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi has reiterated the decision of the state Government to effect the payment of all outstanding workers salary this week.
Governor Ajimobi stated this during an unscheduled inspection visit to some of the Government ministries and departments at the Secretariat Agodi Ibadan.
He said that the banks being used by the state Government have confirmed the receipts of the bail out fund from the central bank, stressing that the payment would be effected this week.
He also used the opportunity to inform the civil servants that the present administration would not reduce workers in the state but would effect a re-alignment and reposting of workers for effective performances.
At the state ministry of Education where the ministry’s Directors and Deputy Directors were holding the weekly Management meetings, Governor Ajimobi charged them to brace up for new challenges in the education sector and improve on the standard of Education in the state.
The governor was conducted round the offices by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of education, Mrs. Aderonke Makanjuola who assured the Governor of the readiness of the ministry to do everything possible to improve on the standard of education in the state.
The Governor also inspected the office of the surveyor General where he charged the staff to redouble effort on their productivity and improve on the internally Generated Revenue for the state Government.
At the state ministry of Lands and survey Governor Ajimobi task most of the officials on duty to define their roles and responsibility and suggest ways to improve on the revenue of the state Government,
While addressing the press after the exercise Governor Ajimobi said the inspection was a normal routine to familiarize with the civil servants to gear them up to improve on the performances.
