Mariam Nneamaka Ali, the wife of a former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Ahmadu Ali, on Friday slapped the Delta State Chairman of the party, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi.
Mrs Ali according to report slapped Nwaoboshi at the state secretariat of the party in Asaba, the Delta State capital when the chairman asked Ali to relocate from where she was seated at a meeting of the party’s stakeholders because the seat she was occupying was meant for the state’s Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Utuama, who was also scheduled to be at the meeting.
Prof. Utuama and madam Ali are vying for the Delta North Senatorial District seat in next year’s general election thus she sees the deputy governor as her rival.
Madam Ali was said to have lost her cool as she believed that the powers that be are using Nwaoboshi, whom she considers as her “boy”, against her.
