AFCON Qualifying Match: Nigeria plays 0-0 Draw with South Africa

The Super Eagels played a goalless draw with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday in Cape Town in their second match of the group stage of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The disappointing result comes just days after the Eagles lost 3-2 to Congo in Calabar in their first qualifiers match.

In the other group A match, Congo defeated Sudan 2-0 in Brazzaville. In Group B, Malawi nipped  Ethiopia 3-2 while in Group C, Lesotho and Gabon played a 1-1 draw but Angola lost 3-0 to Burkina on home soil.
 
Group D matches saw Cameroon conquer Cote d’Iviore 4-1 while Sierra Leone lost 2-0 to Democratic Republic of Congo. In Group E, Uganda defeated Guinea 2-0 while Togo lost to Ghana 3-2 draw.

In Group F, Cape Verde Islands won Zambia 2-1, Mozambique played a 1-1 draw with Niger 1, and in Group G Egypt lost at home to Tunisia by a goal while Botswana lost at home to Senegal by two goals.
