Adekoya Urges Christians, Muslims to Pray for Nigeria on Christmas, Eid-Moulud

Lawmaker representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, Honourable Adesegun Abdel-Majid Adekoya (MHR) has called on both Christians and Moslems Community in Nigeria to pray for the survival of the nation and the quickest recovery from the economic challenges being faced by the country.

Hon. Adekoya expressed this in his message of good wishes to Nigerian Christians and Moslems on the occasion of the 2015 Christmas and Eid-Moulud celebrations, incidentally both signifying the births of the Founders of our two major common Faiths.

He admonish adherents of both religions to keep in mind the lessons of the Lord Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) and the significance of their births in ensuring peace, common brotherhood of man, tolerance and sacrifice.

Honourable Adekoya called on all Nigerians to use the happy occasion of the celebration to pray for the peace and social coexistence of Nigeria and urgent recovery from the current economic hardship being faced by the nation, saying that it is peace that can guarantee the economic prosperity of the citizens.

He further called for moderate celebration during the festive period.
