Adamawa Govt Empowers Boko Haram Victims

Adamawa government has trained and empowered over 3,000 victims of Boko Haram attacks in the state, especially women and youths.
The Head of the State’s Socio- Economic Evaluation Programme,
Alhaji Sadiq Daware, made this known to journalists in Yola on Saturday, stating that the training was started in the first quarter of the year.
Daware stated that the programme was aimed at assisting the less privileged particularly women and youths to be self-reliant especially those in the areas affected by Boko Haram.
He said: “In the first quarter of this year, over 3,000 women and youths across the state were captured, trained and equipped on basic skills particularly the less-privilege and victims of the Boko Haram onslaught in the state.
“Some of the skills include auto-mechanic, computer repairs, electronics repairs, cosmetology, tiling, catering ,electrical repairs ,tailoring and others.”
