ABUJA POLICE APPREHENDS ONE-CHANCE ROBBERY GANG, TWO SUSPECTS

Police patrol team attached to Wuye Division has apprehended a one-chance robbery gang which have been terrorising the FCT.
A police situation report, sitrep, revealed that, on August, 21st, Patrol team attached to Wuye Division intercepted one unpainted Golf 2 car reg. YLA 989 AA at Abuja City Gate area.
Two male, ages 30yrs and 27yrs believed to be on-chance robbery syndicate were caught in the act robbing a 35yrs female victim they had earlier picked as a passenger.
The victim was safely rescued and the two suspects arrested and their operational vehicle impounded.
Men of the FCT, CIID has commenced investigation to apprehend other members of the gang.
In related development, police sitrep revealed that, Edo Police received a distress call of robbery at a house long Upper Sakponba road, Benin City and the patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene where one male suspect caught in the act was arrested.
One locally-made pistol with one live cartridge was also recovered from the suspect at the scene. State CID Benin City is investigating.
Also, Delta Police last Friday received a distress call of armed robbery in a student hostel at Be Fabu Bar along Owhelogbo road, Ozoro.
Patrol team was immediately dispatched to the scene and later joined by Vigilante group, the team met the hoodlums in the act upon arrival at the scene.
The hoodlums upon sighting the security team abandoned their nefarious activities and fled in different directions.
Two of the suspects were arrested after a hot chase, one locally-made single barrel pistol with one live cartridge was recovered from one of them.
Police detectives in Asaba according to the sitrep has began investigation to arrest other members of the gang.
