Daddy Showkey to Make Career Comeback
Popular Nigerian singer, John Asiemo, aka Daddy Showkey, has expressed his decision to return to the music scene after a self-imposed long hiatus.
The self-styled ghetto soldier is currently working on a new album that he hopes will turn out a surprise hit with music fans soon but is keeping the title and location of the studio secret for now.
There have been rumours circulating about a possible collaboration between Showkey and Wizkid as the two stars have been seen together on few occasions but efforts made to get the ghetto soldier’s comment on the subject proved abortive
Showkey was forced to temporarily quit the music scene after he narrowly escaped an attack by assassins who stormed his former residence in Ojodu and killed one of his close associates in 2011.
Showkey has since spent the last two years in hiding for fear of unknown assailants and only makes brief public appearances few times.
Showkey has however decided to concentrate on his work now and says he is working so hard on his forthcoming album and practically spends most of the nights in the studio nowadays. At the moment, his greatest desire is to catch up with the time he had lost these past years.
