9 ships arrive Lagos ports with petroleum products, food items

No fewer than nine ships laden with petroleum products and food items have arrived Lagos ports, waiting to berth.

This was disclosed by Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) in its daily publication – `Shipping Position’ – made available to newsmen on Friday in Lagos.

The publication revealed that four of the ships waiting to berth contained petrol, while others contained aviation fuel, diesel, crude palm oil, bulk rice and fresh fish.

It revealed further that the 38 ships which were expected in the ports from June 19 to June 30 contained, PMS, kerosene, diesel, bucks of clinker, Urea, Sugar, Ethanol, Urawheat, fresh fish, general cargo, buthane gas and rice.
