Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly set to see off five of his first-team players after a disappointing performance against Arsenal in Sunday’s Community Shield match.

The Chilean tactician is said to be disappointed with a number of squad players and has highlighted five players to be shifted out before the end of the summer transfer window.

The players are said to be Scott Sinclair, Dedryck Boyata, Micah Richards, Matija Nastasic and Joe Hart.

Sinclair signed for the Etihad outfit from Swansea City in 2012 but has been ineffective ever since. The 25-year-old had an uninspiring loan spell at West Bromwich Albion last season and doesn’t seem to be attracting any bids from other clubs.

Former England international, Micah Richards could have potential suitors in Liverpool and Newcastle United after a difficult few years at Manchester City.

Serbian youngster, Matija Nastasic has been linked with Juventus despite having an impressive run with the English champions in the 2012/2013 season.

Although Joe Hart did not feature against Arsenal, the England goalkeeper is no longer guaranteed to be first choice at the Etihad Stadium after Pellegrini moved to sign Willy Caballero from Malaga this summer.
