26 Task Force Brigade massacre fleeing Boko Haram

Nigeria’s 26 Task Force Brigade troops stationed in Gwoza, Borno State on Tuesday engaged the fleeing Boko Haram terrorists from Sambisa Forest following continued aerial bombardment by the Nigerian Air Force, killing no fewer than 200‎.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Nigeria Army spokesperson, Col Sanni Usman.
He said the troops of 26 Task Force Brigade engaged fleeing terrorists in 7 pickup vans and some motorcycles mounted with assorted weapons such as Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG) and Anti-Aircraft Guns and decisively dealt with them, killing quite a number of them. 
He added that the troops also destroyed their vehicles, weapons and motorcycles.
During the attack according to Usman, the troop recovered a vehicle, 1 motorcycle and 2 AK47 riffles and large quantities of 7.62mm NATO and 12.7mm ammunition. 
The Army spokesman stated that the troops have intensified their patrols and offensive actions against the terrorists in the area.
