2015 Elections : Youth Rally Supports For Jonathan
In a bid to return Goodluck Jonathan as the President in the 2015 presidential election, the National Youth Leader of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abdullahi MaiBasira is coordinating other prominent youth bodies for a rally in support of Mr. President.
The rally is tagged ”Advancing the Transformation Agenda Consolidating our Democracy and Youth Inclusion in Democracy”.
Speaking with NigerianEcho, MaiBasira said the theme was arrived at “in other to extray the developments done so far under him and also reaffirm need to actualize the 30% affirmative action of youth involvement in politics and decision making of the country.”
” This no doubt is yielding result as we have more youths aspiring to hold elective offices come 2015. It is made possible by the current administration determination to include Youth in governance.
“The rally is expected to be attended by prominent youth leaders and role models across the country as well as those in diaspora to showcase the positive achievement of Goodluck Jonathan and the need to support his re election bid”, MaiBasira said.
He added that the rally will come up at Eagle Square Abuja on 5th of Wednesday, 2014, while accreditation of participants will take place at Old Parade ground.
