11 PDP supporters Arrested in Ekiti as they thumb-print ballot papers by SSS

Eleven men suspected to be supporters of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate in next Saturday election in Ekiti, Ayo Fayose have been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Security Tuesday night.
A security situation report detailed that the men were arrested as they were thumb-printing ballot papers ahead of the governorship election holding in the state on Saturday inside one Anisulowo Resort in Are Ekiti, a place said to belong to the Director-General of the Fayose Campaign Organisation, Dipo Anisulowo. The report stated that, intelligence report from vigilant citizens of the state made the security agents on standby swooped on the identified building where they allegedly met 22 men with a heap of ballot papers, and other election materials.
However, according to the sitrep, eleven of the suspects were arrested and driven to the SSS headquarters in Ado-Ekiti, where they are currently being detained.
Meanwhile, Nigeria police will today in Abuja arraign a serving commissioner in Ekiti State, Mr. Funminiyi Afuye, along with 11 others for terrorism charges, following an assault on the convoy of Governor Kayode Fayemi, in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, on June 8. Apart from Afuye (57), other accused persons are Idowu Aladejobi (68), Afunye Jide (30), Anisulowo Kayode (46), Azeez Suleiman (19), Ajayi Idowu (18), Babadi Ajayi (35), Abiodun Omoniyi (68), Oyedapo Olaoluwa (29), Sunday Olalere (27), Dapo David (26), Akinyemi Tayo (25), and others said to be at large.
