102 stampede-hit pilgrims identified at city hospital
MAKKAH: Al-Noor Specialist Hospital has helped identify 102 pilgrims by setting up huge screens with the photographs of victims, including the dead and injured.
There are now only 14 people who still have to be identified. “The hospital is using every means possible to process pilgrims. This approach makes it easier for pilgrims to search for missing relatives at the hospital,” said Salem Bajaefer, the hospital’s assistant director for medical services.
Jameel Ikram, the assistant director for support services, said the department prepared the four smart screens to display the images of missing pilgrims in coordination with the department of patient affairs.
Mohammed Daoud, director for patient affairs, said the department photographed each person who arrived at the hospital.(Arab News)
