‎Babangida Aliyu Disgraced At Inauguration Venue

The immediate past governor of Niger State, Dr. Babangida Aliyu was today at the swearing in of his successor, Alhaji Abubakar Bello seriously embarrassed.

Information has it that, immediately the out gone governor appeared at the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium, venue of the inauguration, the crowd showed their displeasure as they started booing him and hauling stones at him.

A source informed as soon as the governor popularly known as chief servant climbed the podium to take the salute of the military guard, it was choruses of “Barawo”, “Thief”, “Ole” “Change has come”, “Your time is past, go” by the crowd at the stadium.

Intervention and wisdom used by security agents saved the governor from being attacked.‎

The organisers of the ceremony also had to stop the ex-governor from making his prepared speech in order to prevent him from being ridiculed more.

The governor was pelted with slippers and satchet water while he was sitting besides his love lost deputy who decamped to All Progressive Congress, APC shortly before the general elections that sent the ruling PDP out of power across many states and Federal.

The situation made the outgoing Secretary to the State Government, Seidu Ndako Kpaki, to speak on behalf of the government.
