Worried by the slow pace of work at the Orange Market Road in Maraba, the Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Al-makura has given the contractors handling the project, a 30-day ultimatum to complete the project, reports‎ Channels TV.

The Nasarawa State Governor gave the warning while on an inspection visit to road projects in some parts of Karu Local Government, where hundreds of residents in the Federal Capital Territory reside.

According to the report, Al-makura lamented the delay in completing the project commenced by his administration to ease the infrastructural challenge facing the densely populated area.

The residents are said to have fled from the Federal Government’s demolition exercise in Abuja into Karu some years back, thereby over stretching the existing social amenities.
